Senior Orange belt
Kumataka Dojos Senior Orange belt requires that a student must have;
- Good attitude, correct observance of dojo etiquette and personal hygiene
- Correct judogi with Kumataka badging, belt tied correctly
- Financial member of Kumataka Dōjōs & JudoWA/JudoNSW
Footwork and mobility
- Demonstrate Ayumiashi (Normal walking), forward, backward, solo and with partner and Tsugiashi (Following foot walking), bilaterally, forward, backward, sideways and circling, solo and with partner
- Demonstrate Ebi (Prawn), migi and hidari
Ukemi waza (Falling techniques)
- Mae sutemi zenpo kaiten (forward roll), terminating down and up, migi and hidari
- Ushiro sutemi (backward roll), terminating down and up, migi and hidari
Nage waza
(Throwing techniques), performed migi and hidari, static or in motion

- Attack Koshi guruma, counter with Tani otoshi and combine to Kesa gatame
- Attack O uchi gari, counter with Ko soto gake
- Attack Morote seoinage, counter with Hadaka jime or Okuri eri jime
- Attach Hiza guruma, counter with O uchi gari, pass the legs and apply Mune gatame
- Attack Tani otoshi, counter with O uchi gari

Randori (Free practice)
- Demonstrate attacking in throwing techniques
- Demonstrate appropriate stance and body movement (tai sabaki) in evading attacks
- Demonstrate combinations and counters from techniques learned in this and previous grade
- Demonstrate correct ukemi
- Demonstrate correct intent with regards to randori as a cooperative practice
Shiai (Contest)
- Demonstrate correct stance and effective gripping for Shiai
- Demonstrate effective attack and defense strategies
- Commence study of Shiai ruleset and updates
