Kumi-uchi

The Sosuishi-ryu Kumi-uchi (組討) is made up of 5 kata, each containing 8 waza. They include seated and standing techniques, defence against empty hands and weapons, restraint and removal tactics, weapons retention, defensive and predatory techniques. Striking, strangulation, joint locking, throwing, and immobilisations are built in. These are the 40 techniques, organised accordingly.

Idori 居捕 (Kneeling)
